Paying $101,000 for a virtual car?

Now I hadn't heard too much about crypto currencies for a while, until I read this article earlier.

Essentially, F1 Delta Time is an online game that centres around block-chain technology.

What I don't understand however, is that a virtual car (it mentions that it ranks high statistically in the game in the parameters the developers have provided) is worth this muchโ€ฆ BEFORE it is released?

Can anyone explain what on earth this is all about? Is this something to look out for in the future?

It may, as they speculate in the article, be a way to boost publicity. Or, the buyer might be someone who bought a lot of etherium when they were cheap and now sit on a fortune they don't know what to do with. ๐Ÿ™‚

#1 Possibly! In fairness, I think it would be a pretty nice life to have a fortune where you have so much you don't know what to do with it! Laughing

Yeah, as long as you donโ€™t mistake it for happiness. ๐Ÿ™‚
